Cross-country is a two mile running race that takes place on trails and dirt paths. Of course, it would be very difficult to go out and be able to run a two-mile race without practicing and training. Throughout the season, we train to run a further distance and be able to increase our speed gradually. We participate in many activities and games that hopefully make running fun for athletes, and allow each individual to get faster as the season progresses. X-country is also a sport that provides an excellent base of conditioning for upcoming sports such as basketball, wrestling, and especially track (especially for those athletes interested in running middle to longer distances).


Fall 2020 Cross Country-

Cross-country practice will begin on (TBA) after school.  Parents, remember that your child must have a physical on file or turn the physical form in the first day of practice in order to participate.  Physical forms can be picked up at CMS office.  Cross-country is a two mile running race on trails.  If you should have any questions, please feel free to contact Coach Jennifer Williamson @ 399-0829
