Back to School Information
We are very excited to begin this new school year at Canton Middle School. Here is a few things you need to know:
The first day of school will be on Tuesday, August 22nd at 7:55AM.
Tuesday 8-22 and Wednesday 8-23 school will be dismissed at 12:30 pm.
7th & 8th Orientation & Schedule Pickup 17-18
Both 7th & 8th grade will have an orientation on Monday, August 21st at 4:30 you may report to the A building gym where staff will give you the name of your homeroom teacher. You will then be directed to your homeroom teacher’s class to meet and greet them. At 5:00 students and parents will attend a brief 20 minute informational meeting in their homeroom, schedules will be given out, and then students will rotate every 20 minutes through their classes. This allows parents and students to meet their teachers, learn classroom rules and expectations, and have a successful start to the school year. Parents and students must plan on attending the homeroom meeting in order to receive their schedule prior to school starting.
If you are unable to attend the orientation, your child will need to report to the B-Building gym on the first day of school when they arrive on campus. There your child will receive a copy of their schedule and staff will assist them to their classes. We want to make every possible effort to ensure that your child has a great start to the new school year. If you have any questions or concerns please call the school office at 646-3467.
